Styrene, also known as vinylbenzene or styrene monomer, is an important organic chemical raw material produced from benzene and ethylene through alkylation and dehydrogenation reactions. It is a colorless to pale yellow oily liquid and a core monomer for synthetic resins, rubber, and plastics, widely used in packaging, building materials, electronics, and automotive industries.
